Court bars police lawyers not appointed as legal officers from prosecution
A court ordered that police lawyers not appointed as legal officers be barred from prosecution. The judge also mandated the deployment of police officers who are legal practitioners to every Police Division in Nigeria to assist with human rights enforcement in policing.
