Moldovan President Sandu Nominates Businessman as New Prime Minister
Moldovan President Maia Sandu has nominated businessman Vasile Tofan as the new prime minister. Tofan must secure a parliamentary vote of confidence, present a governing program, and form a cabinet within 15 days. Former Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu resigned on July 3.
