Kandararu Rajeevaru seeks to resign as Sabarimala Tantri, citing health reasons, and proposes his son as successor. He submitted a resignation letter to the Travancore Devaswom Board and was arrested on January 9 by the SIT investigating the Sabarimala gold theft case, currently out on bail.
