Police seek information after assault in east Charlotte

Police in Charlotte-Mecklenburg are investigating an assault with a deadly weapon that occurred around 7:45 p.m. on Independence Boulevard near the Briar Creek exit in east Charlotte. Victims sustained life-threatening injuries and self-reported to the hospital. Authorities are seeking information from the public.
