Report: Traffic in Hormuz falls sharply, only six vessels passed on 9-10 July night
Traffic in the Strait of Hormuz fell sharply, with only six vessels passing on the night of 9-10 July, down from 18-22 earlier in the month. This marks the third consecutive night of reduced traffic amid Iranian attacks on ships and subsequent US strikes and Iranian counterattacks in the Gulf. Ship-tracking firm Windward reported a rise in 'dark transits' (vessels hiding locations) to 40% of all traffic, the highest in six days.
