Brazil’s Factories Slipped in Nine of Fifteen Regions
Brazil’s factory output declined in nine of fifteen regions tracked by the statistics agency, with Bahia falling 8.9%, Mato Grosso and the Northeast region down 3.2% each. Ceará saw the strongest growth at 3.2%, followed by Pernambuco (2.4%), Santa Catarina (2.3%), and Amazonas (2.1%).
