Egypt deepens Horn of Africa maritime alignment with Somalia MoU

Egypt and Somalia formalized a maritime transport and ports memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen regional cooperation. The agreement follows Egypt's similar Red Sea port connectivity deal with Eritrea and reflects broader geopolitical alignment among Egypt, Eritrea, and Somalia, excluding Ethiopia, which has criticized the moves.
