Seafarers attacked in the Strait of Hormuz sue shipping company in Thailand
Three former crew members of a Thai cargo ship attacked in the Strait of Hormuz sued the vessel’s operator, Precious Shipping Co., for labor rights violations and unfair dismissal. The ship, Mayuree Naree, was struck by a projectile in March, killing three crew members and leaving the remaining 20 stranded before being rescued. The lawsuit alleges the company endangered lives by sailing through the conflict-ridden strait and dismissed the plaintiffs prematurely after the attack.
