Newgarden still in walking boot ahead of IndyCar race in Midstate

Josef Newgarden remains in a walking boot as he recovers from a May Indy 500 crash and prepares for the Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix in Nashville on July 19. He had surgery in June but has not missed a race since the injury and remains competitive for the series title. Race founder Scott Borcetta praised Newgarden's resilience.
