Driver enters plea in crash that killed crossing guard

Darren Goudeau, 64, entered a 'not guilty' plea to DWI and vehicular homicide charges after a crash that killed crossing guard Katy Wells in April. Wells, who had over 40 years of service with Seventh Ward Elementary and was retired but still working as a crossing guard, was struck while directing traffic near Gray’s Creek Elementary.
