Should drive-thrus be banned? Culver City is considering the question
Culver City's City Council is considering a citywide ban on new drive-thrus following community concerns about a proposed In-N-Out location, citing air quality and pedestrian safety issues. The council has passed a 45-day moratorium on new drive-thru permits while drafting an ordinance, which would not affect existing drive-thrus. Similar bans exist in Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and previously in Carlsbad.
