Flooding from days of heavy rain in southern China has killed 39 people

Flooding in southern China caused by Tropical Storm Maysak killed 39 people, with 26 deaths in Hengzhou due to a reservoir dam collapse. Ding Wei, the vice mayor of Nanning city, reported nine missing in Guangxi, while Typhoon Bavi approaches the east coast and Taiwan.
