New law aims to revitalize Hilo's Banyan Drive
Governor Green signed SB 2001 into law, creating the Banyan Drive Community District to revitalize the Waiākea Peninsula. A lineal descendant of the Waiākea ahupuaʻa will have a voting role in decision-making processes.
