Mississippi residents in DeSoto County file lawsuit over majority-Black judicial subdistrict

Mississippi residents in DeSoto County filed a federal lawsuit against the State Board of Election Commissioners, arguing that the Legislature’s creation of majority-Black judicial subdistricts violates the Voting Rights Act.
