Haverford Township debuts municipal-wide curbside composting program

Haverford Township launched a free, voluntary curbside composting program starting July 13, allowing residents to collect food waste in 5-gallon buckets for weekly pickup. The initiative, managed by the township's Sanitation Division, aims to reduce household waste by 30% and is processed at Kitchen Harvest in Linvilla Orchards. Township Manager David Burman and Board of Commissioners President Judy Trombetta highlighted environmental benefits and cost savings.
