Tourist arrivals in Hong Kong jump by 13% to 26.7 million in first half of year

Tourist arrivals in Hong Kong increased by 13% to 26.7 million in the first half of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025, driven by more mega-events and expanded destinations. Tourism minister Rosanna Law Shuk-pui reported a 16% rise in visitors from mainland China and a 5% increase in foreign tourists.
