Parts of Maharashtra report ‘exceptional’ rain
Mahabaleshwar in Maharashtra’s Satara district recorded 513 mm of rainfall on 6th July, the highest 24-hour rainfall ever documented by the IMD. This amount constitutes nearly one-tenth of the hill station’s average annual rainfall of 5,710 mm.
