Man accused of driving impaired, crashing into ambulance and killing paramedic, officials say
A North Carolina man, Jared Logan, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, driving while impaired, and reckless driving after crashing into an ambulance on Highway 74, killing paramedic Ashley Moore and injuring another paramedic and a patient. Moore, a nine-year field training officer for Cleveland County Emergency Medical Services, was tending to a patient when the ambulance was struck from behind by Logan's Dodge Challenger.
