Tamil Nadu consistently drew lower quantities of rice than its allocated share under the Antyodaya Anna Yojana in five of the last seven years, with the closest drawal (98% of 6.99 lakh tonnes) occurring during the 2020-21 pandemic year. Off-take rates ranged from 73% to 79% in other years between 2019-20 and 2024-25.
