China’s satellite engine smashes record, leaves US rival far behind
China tested a satellite engine with a record 11,617-second operating life, developed by the China Academy of Aerospace Propulsion Technology in Xian, producing 750 newtons of thrust. The engine outperformed US rivals and could enhance spacecraft propulsion for communications, military, and deep-space missions.
