CPI(M) alleges that trade union leader Ch. Chandrasekhar was arrested to prevent protests against the Centre’s proposed employment scheme before the visit of the Chief Minister and a Union Minister. Party State secretary V. Srinivasa Rao made the claim, stating police detained Chandrasekhar for this purpose.
