Transfer of narcotics convict from Sri Lanka to India: Madras High Court penalises MEA & MHA officials

The Madras High Court penalized officials from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) for the transfer of a narcotics convict from Sri Lanka to India. Justices Anita Sumanth and Sunder Mohan ordered two joint secretaries in the ministries to pay ₹50,000 to the High Court Legal Services Committee.
