Emergency responder saves trapped occupant in Morganton fire

An emergency responder rescued a person trapped in a burning home on Putnam Street in Morganton. The responder sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the rescue, and firefighters continue to suppress the active fire. Multiple agencies, including Chesterfield Fire and Rescue and Burke County Emergency Services, responded to the incident.
