Hornets get OK for change to Spectrum Center exterior

The Charlotte City Council approved a rezoning request allowing the Hornets to renovate the Spectrum Center's exterior, including moving the existing electronic sign to three locations and installing a new larger video board on the East Trade Street façade. The approval follows a two-year, $245 million interior renovation of the building completed in October.
