Hong Kong court jails man for 14 years over ‘evil’ bomb plot
A Hong Kong court has sentenced Cheung Lai-ming, a 35-year-old programmer, to 14 years for his involvement in a bomb plot targeting authorities during and after the 2019 anti-government protests. He pleaded guilty to manufacturing explosives in his Wong Tai Sin public rental flat and storing over 20kg of explosive chemicals between August 2019 and May 2022.
