Braves lose battle of rookie pitchers to Giants in doubleheader’s nightcap

The Atlanta Braves lost 7-5 to the San Francisco Giants in the doubleheader’s nightcap as Giants rookie Carson Whisenhunt outperformed Braves rookie JR Ritchie. The Giants hit three homers in the second inning, including a two-run shot by Luis Arraez, and swept the doubleheader after winning the opener 7-2.
