Massive fire breaks out at Boyle Heights commercial building, LAFD orders shelter in place

A massive fire at a Boyle Heights commercial building caused heavy smoke and prompted a shelter-in-place order. The fire, involving solar panels on a storage facility's roof, occurred at 1400 S. Los Palos St. and affected areas south of Interstate 5. The Los Angeles Fire Department and East Yard Communities for Environmental Justice advised residents to stay indoors.
