Scooter rider dead after crash involving vehicle Monday afternoon

A scooter rider died after a crash involving a vehicle near North Circle Drive and East Platte Avenue in Colorado Springs around 12:45 p.m. Monday. The rider was taken to the hospital but died from injuries, with their name pending release by the El Paso County Coroner's Office. Colorado Springs Police Department stated speed and alcohol were not factors in the crash.
