Man charged in killing of West Virginia guard member pleads not guilty to new charges

Rahmanullah Lakanwal, an Afghan national, pleaded not guilty to 17 charges including murder and attempted murder after attacking two West Virginia National Guard members near the White House. The Trump administration is pursuing the death penalty for the case, which resulted in the death of U.S. Army Spc. Sarah Beckstrom and serious injury to Air Force Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe.
