Wildfire burns 600 acres in western Miami-Dade

A wildfire burned 600 acres in western Miami-Dade County, starting on Monday and reaching 30% containment by Tuesday. The Florida Forest Service's Everglades unit and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the fire, which prompted an evacuation near the Metro West Detention Center and an air-quality alert in parts of Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
