Wayne County man arrested after brief police chase, hours-long standoff

A Wayne County man was arrested after a brief police chase ended in an hours-long standoff in Van Buren Township. Police reported the man, armed with a gun, barricaded himself in his home with two family members, who were later released unharmed. He surrendered by 8 p.m. and was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
