Fort Mill landmark Heritage Tower could soon be demolished: What to know

Heritage Tower, a nearly 40-year-old landmark in Fort Mill, South Carolina, may be demolished after being abandoned for decades. Once part of Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker’s failed Christian theme park, the tower is now set to be replaced by a retirement community for people aged 55 and older. MorningStar Ministries, the current owner, is working with York County to finalize agreements for the demolition and new development.
