Ogden Theatre canceled Kiros-Piker event due to ‘pressure and concern’
The Ogden Theatre canceled an event featuring congressional candidate Melat Kiros and livestreamer Hasan Piker due to 'pressure and concern' from the local community. Jewish groups accused Piker of antisemitism, while he claims to be a critic of Zionism and Israel’s government. The event was relocated to the Colorado State Capitol, but Piker and others withdrew over safety concerns. Kiros accused Rep. Diana DeGette of orchestrating venue cancellations, which DeGette’s team denied.
