EU transparency watchdog suspends Orbán-backed MCC Brussels
The EU Transparency Register suspended MCC Brussels, a think tank linked to former Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, for failing to disclose financial information and spreading propaganda. The group, funded by the Mathias Corvinus Collegium in Budapest, faced a complaint from the Corporate Europe Observatory, which accused it of associating with networks linked to George Soros’s Open Society Foundations. MCC Brussels plans to challenge the decision.
