Aurora lifts fire ban to allow for purchase and use of fireworks through Fourth of July

Aurora Fire Rescue temporarily lifted the city's Stage 1 Fire Restriction to permit the sale and use of ground fireworks from June 15 through July 4. The decision followed an assessment of three fire risk metrics, with only one exceeding thresholds. Only ground fireworks like sparklers are allowed, while aerial or explosive fireworks remain illegal.
