Defense minister says Israel won’t withdraw from land seized in Lebanon, Syria and Gaza
Israel’s defense minister, Israel Katz, stated Israel will not withdraw from territories in Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza indefinitely. The comments followed an interim Iran-U.S. deal pending a Geneva meeting, with Iran linking the deal to halting Israeli attacks on Hezbollah in Lebanon. Katz warned of a strong Israeli response if Iran retaliates for strikes in Lebanon.
