Vergennes battery project on hold

Lightshift has paused its battery energy storage project in Vergennes, Vermont, following community safety concerns and a contentious informational meeting. The project, which could reduce electric bills and enhance renewable energy integration, remains under review with the Vermont Public Utility Commission until December 17.
