Sealed Super Mario Bros. sells for a record $3 million
A sealed copy of Super Mario Bros., originally bundled with the console for $150, sold for $3 million at Heritage Auctions, breaking the previous $2 million record for the same game. The 1989 second-run copy was uniquely sealed with a glossy sticker instead of shrink wrap, making it the earliest known sealed version.
