Swedish jets intercept Russian aircraft in 2 separate incidents

Sweden scrambled JAS 39 Gripen fighter jets to intercept Russian Su-24 and Su-34 aircraft near its borders in two separate incidents over the Baltic Sea. The Russian planes did not enter Swedish airspace, but Sweden warned of recurring threats to its security and territorial integrity. NATO member Sweden has faced increased Russian military activity since joining the alliance in 2024.
