Delaware program aims to expand maternal care access in rural communities
Delaware's La Red Health Center, in partnership with the Delaware State Housing Authority and community organizations, has launched the MOMS initiative to improve maternal care access for rural women, particularly women of color and immigrant families, through mobile health units and community outreach. The program addresses barriers like transportation, lack of culturally competent providers, and cost issues affecting prenatal care access.
