‘Lucky to be alive’: Woman fends off bear in woods after animal attacked her dog
Lori Price fended off a bear that attacked her dog while foraging for mushrooms near Skilak Lake in Alaska. She used her pistol to shoot the bear multiple times, allowing her and her dogs to escape. Her dog Chaos survived the attack with the help of a veterinarian and is recovering.
