US Plans to Slash Fighter Jets, Warships to NATO in Europe: Report
The United States plans to reduce its military contributions to NATO in Europe by cutting fighter jet deployments by a third and withdrawing aerial refueling tankers. Additional assets like warships and bombers may be reassigned as part of efforts to encourage European allies to take on greater defense responsibilities ahead of a NATO summit in July.
