RJ Scaringe said there are 2 big reasons Rivian's new R2 doesn't look like a Tesla Model Y dupe

Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe explained that the R2 SUV was designed to avoid resembling Tesla's Model Y to provide more choice for EV buyers and establish Rivian's distinct brand identity. The R2, Rivian's most affordable electric vehicle, has three versions with deliveries starting in 2024 for the Performance model and delayed for the Standard and Premium versions.
