US lawmakers demand Trump officials halt plan to send Afghans to DRC
US lawmakers urged the Trump administration to halt plans to relocate 1,100 Afghan nationals in Qatar to unsafe third countries. The Afghans had worked with US forces during the war in Afghanistan. Over 80 House members, including Republicans and Democrats, called on Secretary of State Marco Rubio to reconsider the proposal.
