Rio de Janeiro Posts $11.8bn Trade Surplus as Oil Powers Exports
Rio de Janeiro state recorded an $11.8 billion trade surplus in the first five months of 2026, more than double the $5.4 billion surplus in the same period in 2025. Crude and petroleum products accounted for 77.3% of the state's exports during this period.
