Storms knock out power in the Midwest and disrupt Chicago flights

Storms caused widespread power outages across the Midwest, affecting over 264,000 customers in Illinois and disrupting more than 1,000 flights at Chicago airports. Tornado warnings and severe thunderstorms led to building damage, fallen trees, and temporary flight ground stops in Chicago and New York.
