Florida lawsuit alleges wrongful arrest after AI facial recognition error

Robert Dillon, a Florida man, was arrested and is suing law enforcement agencies for wrongful identification via AI facial recognition software. The algorithm incorrectly matched him to a security camera image from a McDonald’s in Jacksonville Beach, where he was allegedly attempting to lure a child, despite him living 300 miles away from the incident.
