Mother to judge: Fatal shooting in Lauderhill ‘could have been prevented’
Anthony Johnson, 35, shot and killed Reginald Merisma, 35, after Merisma had previously threatened him. Johnson called 911 before confessing to the shooting, and his mother claimed the incident could have been prevented if bullying was addressed. He faces a first-degree murder charge with bond denied.
