A digital reckoning against smartphones in schools has spread to Sweden

Sweden will ban mobile phones in schools starting fall 2024 as part of a global trend reducing screen time in classrooms. The policy aims to address declining reading and writing skills among students, with funding allocated for textbooks and traditional learning tools.
