PPP poised to form govt in GB
The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is set to form a government in Gilgit-Baltistan after securing 11 out of 24 seats in the Legislative Assembly elections. The Election Commission ordered recounts in two constituencies and re-polling in some polling stations following allegations of irregularities. PPP leader Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari declared victory, stating the party is the 'single largest party' in the region.
